Internal Pipe Coating
Internal Pipe Coating System & Solutions
If you have never heard of internal pipe coating, it is a process used to repair old, leaky plumbing pipes by leaving the pipe structure in place and coating the interior of the pipes with an epoxy coating.
If you have older plumbing in your home combined with corrosion and/or leaks, internal pipe coating can help you in several ways:
- It saves a great deal of money over replacing your entire plumbing system.
- Your daily activities are not interrupted.
- We won’t tear up your landscaping or your home or building.
- Water flow will be greatly improved.
- Your pipes will be “better than new”
Internal pipe coating can be used in any type of structure that has plumbing. For example:
- Residential properties
- Commercial properties
- HVAC systems
- Hospitals
- Apartments
- Schools
- Historical buildings
- Retirement homes and more
Cape Pipe Reliners Process
The process begins by draining the water out of the system and drying the moisture left behind using dry heated air. Next the pipes are sandblasted to clear away build-up and corrosion as well as creating a roughed up surface so the epoxy can get a firm grip on the pipe interior.
Next comes the epoxy coating system. We spray that in until the pipes are properly coated. This creates a barrier between the water and the pipe keeping out corrosion and groundwater contamination. The coating can handle a wide range of water temperatures. It provides corrosion protection from chemicals, moisture, and other damaging substances, eliminates weakened joints, and seals cracks. It even reduces friction resistance between the pipe and the water.
Economical and Extends Pipe Life
This type of in-place pipe restoration is an economical and efficient alternative to traditional pipe system replacement. The epoxy liner seals and protects from further deterioration, and dramatically extends the life of the piping system. It can be used on most types of piping materials including:
- Copper
- Clay
- Galvanized steel
- Metal
- Iron
- Lead
- PVC
- Concrete
- Fiberglass
The Cape Pipe Reliners internal pipe coating process is non-destructive so businesses can avoid employee displacement or business closure while we are working.
